Our November Roundtable was hosted by Chef Rob Levitt of The Publican. Discussions included the government shutdown disrupting SNAP benefits, how many families, including those within our own hospitality community, are facing increased food insecurity, and how we might use our existing resources — from prepared meal programs and community partnerships to excess inventory and outreach — to help fill the gap? Members and guests broke into small groups to further discuss what creative, sustainable actions we can take together to ensure access to food while strengthening the fabric of our local communities. Authority Member, Kirk Bacastow, spoke about how ICE is affecting their projects and job sites.
